IE or Firefox?

Something in connection with the previous entry -kind of like a P.S.- because I just can’t help myself. A fine example of why I want to learn certain things…

What’s the difference between a professional webdeveloper and a smart 13 year-old who knows all the codes and tricks?

A competent person, let’s say an EXPERT realizes that NOT EVERY PERSON IN THE WORLD USES THE SAME BROWSER. I personally only have IE and Firefox, but it always, always, always pisses me off to a major extent how different certain sites look if opened in IE and then in Firefox. You put up with these differences if we are talking about amateour profiles that you or your buddies build, but how can you put up with it if it is the fucking MISTAKE of a goddamn professional opening page of a fucking well-known site??? Or how can you put up with it if it is the mistake of the world’s biggest community portal (myspace?)

I hate that I always have to make a decision whether my profile or blog looks good in IE OR in Firefox. It’s okay that the profile looks fucked up and messy in Firefox because my visitors can immediately see that it is meant to be viewed in IE. But the bigger problem is that my blog is not code-based but this what-you-see-is-what-you-get editing system therefore it is a disgrace to myspace that the “medium” default font I choose in IE equals the “small” font in Firefox… which means that I must decide: it’s either that my Firefox-readers can barely make out what I write OR my IE-readers see huge, ugly-looking fonts. :P

Since I prefer IE (it’s much faster and normally everything looks better in it… let’s face the fact that Windows will always be kind of bound to IE, even though it is a well-known fact that IE has security holes), I go for it on myspace, too… and I’m just so sorry for all of you dearies who cannot properly view my profile or read my blog.

Two important questions now that I managed to calm myself down… XD

1. Is there a trick to overcome these problems? A special code that makes stuff appear the same in all browsers?

2. What do you use? Please, everybody who reads this, tell me what you normally use, IE, Firefox or something else. Perhaps if I see that the majority of you use Firefox, I can change my blog setting for your convenience.
